This course is designed to help educators learn strategies and techniques for teaching genomics in and outside of the classroom. It includes the importance of incorporating genomics into your curriculum, as well as the ethical and societal implications of genomics. The course also helps to understand the benefits of teaching genomics and gain confidence in such teaching.
Students appreciated the excellently planned course that suited their level. They particularly enjoyed the resources used in teaching, such as online videos and discussions. The course introduced genomics to students before it was included in the school curriculum. It was easy to understand and conveniently described.
Some students found the course lacking examples applicable outside of Europe. They suggested providing clearer explanations and more diverse content. However, overall, students recommend taking the course.
