This course teaches how to use textiles to add a touch of feeling through touch. It begins by discussing how Rocío León discovered her passion for fabrics and decoration and how she begins every project with research into how different fabrics can be used to achieve a specific look. The course then goes on to discuss how to read the technical specifications for textile samples and build on this knowledge by analyzing fabrics to understand which are best suited for interior spaces such as a living room, hallway, or bedroom. Finally, it is time to work on your project and follow the teacher's approach. First, you will need to create a room plan or photo of the space you want to design. Then, you will use fabrics to create the look of the room. Finally, you are able to write a technical specification for the fabric and use it to build the look of the room. What is this course's project? You will create a textile mood board for a space of your choice including the types of fabrics, textures, and colors.
